❑ Form a finished opening in the wall 10mm greater than the panel to be installed, ie 300 x 300 panel opening 310 x 310, using a 12.5mm plasterboard lining inside the opening.
❑ Remove door from frame if the access panel is heavy or has a simulated beaded frame for tape and jointing.
❑ Fix the access panel to the framework of timber or metal studwork through the pre-punched holes in the side of the frame using 75mm British Gypsum Steel Drywall Screws.
❑ Ensure the frame is fitted square and plumb.
❑ Replace door (if removed) ensure equal gap around all sides of the door.
❑ For simulated beaded frame tape and joint over frame edge then replace the door.
